Since my children are school-aged, summers are a special time packed full of work and play. It’s a constant battle to stay in balance. At least two or three times a summer I feel like I’m losing that battle. It’s harder to find uninterrupted work time, but so wonderful being at home with them and having some flexibility to take them places and have friends over.
For the most part, it was a successful summer again this year. During each break, when I’m trying to work and “mom” at the same time, I learn something new. During this summer I learned that my son will be an engineer. He takes EVERYTHING apart to see how it works! Along with that, I learned that my kids respond much better to a list of things to do rather than one of us telling them to do something.
[vc_empty_space]Because of this, I wanted to share some printables I have created for your little ones that might help with your back to school routines. Feel free to download the morning routine to try it and see if your mornings are smoother. When my kids were smaller I used a similar checklist and they loved feeling like they were responsible and in charge of themselves.

I recommend putting it in a frame and using dry erase markers to check off each task as they are completed. It’s super easy to wipe it off and keep track of the next day’s routine.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
